ASSESSMENT CRITERIA ENGLISH FOR ESO

ENGLISH FOR ESO. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA. 2015-2016

  • Late compositions or dossiers will NOT be accepted unless absence due to a MAJOR REASON. When works are not accepted it means you get a zero. Not handing in the compositions 2 times in a term means a ZERO in attitude and a LOW mark in performance.

  • Dossiers must be handed in BEFORE each exam, NOT after.

  • 5 homework faults in a term mean a ZERO in attitude and a LOW mark in performance.

  • The marking system for compositions is the following:

A+/A
B+/B
C+
C-
D
EXC
NOT
SUF
INS

  • End of course mark.
    • You must pass AT LEAST 2 terms to pass English: one of them MUST be the THIRD term.
    • In order to pass English you MUST pass “Eines i estratègies per l’aprenentatge de l’anglès” (EEA).  If you pass your English class but fail “EEAA”, the final mark for your English will be FAIL.

  • English is an accumulative subject. For example, if you failed your English of 1st of ESO last year but you pass your English of 2nd of ESO, you will automatically pass the previous course you had failed.
